Ultrahigh throughput and efficient separation of oil/water mixtures using superhydrophilic multi-scale CuBTC-coated meshes

High-flux and oil-resistant mesh for oil/water separation is substantially needed due to frequent oil spill accidents. However, the acquirement of high-flux meshes without sacrificing intrusion pressure a challenge. Here, multi-scale CuBTC-coated copper was prepared via novel stepwise liquid-phase epitaxial (LPE) procedure secondary growth. On basis uniform CuBTC seed layer on surface LPE method, micro-scale coating obtained by The nanosized humps were further fabricated crystals form structure. as-prepared possessed superhydrophilicity underwater superoleophobicity. stabilities anti-fouling behavior investigated. In addition high efficiency (over 99%), exhibited an ultrahigh permeation flux (148.3 L·m?2·s?1) with satisfactory (2.2 kPa), demonstrating its application potential quick oil-spill cleanup.
